1. List Your Home Before You Start House Hunting
If you’re moving from out of state, having your current home listed—or better yet, under contract—makes a huge difference. Sellers in Oklahoma City feel more confident accepting a contingent offer if they know you’ve already started the process on your end. And if you need an agent referral in your hometown, I’ll connect you with someone I trust.
2. Be Ready for Virtual Showings
Many of my relocation clients find their home before they even set foot in OKC. FaceTime showings are one of my favorite ways to walk clients through a home in real time—you can ask questions as I pan through each room, almost like you’re there in person. Afterwards, I send a video of the neighborhood and amenities so you get the full picture.
3. Add an Extra Day to Explore the Area
If you’re flying in to house hunt, plan on staying an extra day just to explore. Oklahoma City is surrounded by great suburbs, and sometimes the area you least expect ends up being “the one.” While many of my clients initially request Edmond, others have fallen in love with Yukon or Mustang after seeing them in person.
4. Lean on Your Local Expert (That’s Me!)
This is the most important tip: don’t hesitate to use me as a resource for everything.
